Warm up

Dynamic mobility, stretching

  • 15 minutes
 Training_sessionExercise 

Players are paired up. Goalkeepers are placed on both sides. Players are starting the action from one side of the ground passing to each other while moving forward. Before they reach cone one of them shoots at the goal to score. When they finish the action they remain on that side of the ground. Other pair goes to the opposite side.

  • 15 minutes
Passing on the movement. Pass the ball in front of the player. Accurate pass. Player to control the ball with far foot and pass. Passing from right side with right foot and from the left with left foot. Before taking the shot player to prepare the ball for quick reaction. Other player to follow rebound from the keeper.
 Training_sessionProgression

Introducing two defenders C&D who defend only on their half of the ground. Players are passing the ball trying to beat one defender to score goal. If defender wins the ball he passes the ball to the defender on the opposite side that is allowed to score the goal vs goalkeeper.

Rotate defenders after 6-8 actions.

Players are challenged in 2 v 1 situation to beat defender and goalkeeper to score a goal. Transition from attack to defense. Quick reaction and game understanding. Encouraging dribbling in 1v1 situation. Finishing under pressure. High tempo exercise.
 Training_session Progression for older age groups: 

Add one more defender to create 2v2 in defense and 3v2 in attack.

  • 15 minutes
Defending principles in 2v1 and 2v2. Fast transition in both ways. High tempo exercise. Challenging and motivational exercise.Keep the score.
